Sliced Radishes with Chive Butter

We love our radishes.  Really, we eat radishes pretty frequently.  Raw, steamed, roasted.  It’s all good.

Radishes are very good for you as well — they’ve got tons of available sulfur that keeps your joints and muscles flexible.  Among a host of other health benefits.

Sometimes in our raw radish indulgence, we’ll add a sprinkle of sea salt or maybe a pat of butter.  The other night we made up a great herb compound butter.  That involved a handful of chives, a couple slivers of green garlic, and a chunk of butter in our food processor.  We rolled out the butter, wrapped it up in plastic wrap and refrigerated it.  After it was nice and chilled, we sliced it up and added it to our radish bites.

Amazing!  And simple!

Hope you enjoy this idea.

Here’s another take on the same idea: http://polwig.com/cooking/radishes-with-herbed-butter/.  Great looking photos on this blog too!
